Assistive technology

Assistive Technology is the term for offering remote care to potentially vulnerable or physically less able people, providing the care and reassurance needed to allow them to remain living independently in their own homes.

Assistive Technology can be used to help a whole range of people from the young to the elderly. Examples of care provided by Assistive Technology range from pendant alarm systems for those who need reassurance to stay independent, to monitoring sensors for long term health conditions such as epilepsy.

If you are living at home independently, living with memory issues (such as dementia), living with a long term health condition, or are carer for somebody who is, Assistive Technology may be able to help you.
