National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP)

How can I ensure my child is measured?

NCMP measurements start towards the end of September. You will receive an electronic letter informing you of the programme and exact dates for your child’s school.

In Buckinghamshire, all children are measured unless parents/carers opt out of the programme.

You are asked to register with the SchoolScreener Parent Portal, this is where you will access your child’s measurements once they have been completed.

I have received a letter informing me of the programme, what do I do now?

Follow the link provided to register with the SchoolScreener Parent Portal
Complete the online form which asks you to confirm you have parental responsibility for your child. Once this section has been completed, simply click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the form so that you can receive the electronic results letter.
If you do not want your child to be measured, you must opt out on the online form. Once this section has been completed, simply click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the form.
The measurements will be completed by a member of trained staff at the school on the date given and results will be available on the portal soon after.

What if I do not want my child to be measured?

You must opt out of the NCMP by registering with the Parent Portal. If you do not register your child might still be screened.

Follow portal instructions clearly and CLICK SUBMIT at least 48 hours before the measurements are due to take place.

Don’t forget to click the submit button for your response to be received.
