Where can I go for local help, support and advice?



One Recovery Bucks

One Recovery Bucks provide a range of advice, support and treatment for individuals affected by drugs or alcohol. It is for individuals who are aged 18 or over and live in Buckinghamshire. Operating from their main hubs in Aylesbury and Wycombe, but also in satellite hubs in Chesham, Burnham and Buckingham. ORB also has a Family and Carer Service offering support to those living with or caring for an individual with an addiction.

The service is free and confidential. They are available to offer advice, information and take referrals for the service via:

Here4YOUth

Here4YOUth is an alcohol and drug service working with young people aged 10 to 18 (or 25 where appropriate) across Buckinghamshire. Here4YOUth offers:

  • support and information and helps young people to develop life skills to make healthy choices around their alcohol and drug use.
  • Provides support and information for the families and carers of young people who are struggling with substance misuse.

Drop-ins run in both Aylesbury and Wycombe.

Here4YOUth can provide support wherever the young person feels most comfortable whether that’s at our locality hubs, home, school or a café.

Be Healthy Bucks

Be Healthy Bucks offers support to help you cut down on alocohol. With trained health and wellbeing coaches by your side, you are never alone in making the changes helpful to a less groggy future. Interactive online modules also support you week-to-week, as a positive reminder of all those benefits you are looking for from having less alcohol in your life. Visit Be Healthy Bucks.


Alcoholics Anonymous

A support group for people to help each other overcome alcoholism. There are lots of support groups across Buckinghamshire that you can attend. Click here to search for your nearest venue.
